“People ask me why I focus on black boys in my work. Because I was one. I understand what it's like growing up as an inner-city black boy in this society and how easy it is to become a statistic. My parents, family members and community mentors all helped to save me from a path of destruction. Now I am committed to saving as many black boys as I can.”- Atiba Jones
