What is Hijabfest?

Join us in celebrating the beauty and significance of the Hijab at this year’s Hijab festival! With the captivating theme of the Enchanted Forest, this event is more than just a celebration – it’s a bridge between communities, fostering understanding and appreciation of the Hijab’s profound role in Islam. Our mission is to educate both Muslims and non-Muslims, dispelling misconceptions and highlighting the diverse practices within the Muslim community.
But this festival is about more than just awareness it’s about empowerment. Our festival empowers Muslim women who proudly choose to wear the Hijab, honoring their decisions and boosting their self-confidence. Our fashion show proves that modesty is vibrant, stylish, and full of expression.

Through showcases of diverse Hijab styles and cultural traditions, we aim to educate, inspire, and celebrate. Join us at Hijab Fest 2025 as we embrace beauty, break barriers, and unite through our diversity!

Why Hijabfest?
During a time when our Ummah (global Muslim community) is going through various trials and tribulations, the Howard University MSA has decided to carry on the tradition of our Hijab Fest to support, uplift, and empower women around the country.

We aim to provide an avenue for Muslim and non-Muslim women to be their most authentic selves. Our large array of programming, influential guest speakers, and educational panels will inspire communities to do whatever is necessary to find joy in times of trouble.

Event sponsorships and donations are needed and welcomed. For more information please email infohumsa@gmail.com and cc hbcumsa@gmail.com.
