Why Hijabfest?
During a time when our Ummah (global Muslim community) is going through various trials and tribulations, the Howard University MSA has decided to carry on the tradition of our Hijab Fest to support, uplift, and empower women around the country.
We aim to provide an avenue for Muslim and non-Muslim women to be their most authentic selves. Our large array of programming, influential guest speakers, and educational panels will inspire communities to do whatever is necessary to find joy in times of trouble.

Hijab Fest is an annual celebration of Hijab that allows women to promote cultural and religious awareness by educating both Muslim and Non-Muslim community members about the significance of the Hijab. Hijab Fest also allows us to dispel common misconceptions and foster a better understanding of the diverse practices within the Muslim community. Most importantly Hijab Fest is an opportunity to build sisterhood!
