We are pleased to announce a formal partnership between the Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA) and The African-American Healing Ancestry & Development Collective (AHAD), established through a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
This partnership is rooted in a shared commitment to enhancing the holistic health and well-being of African-American/Black Muslims. By working together, MANA and AHAD aim to maximize the impact of their resources, knowledge, and expertise for the benefit of the communities they serve.
Under the terms of the MOU, both organizations will:
- Jointly work on projects of mutual interest to serve Black Muslims, beginning with The Healthy Marriage Summit organized by MANA and The Black Muslim Family Retreat organized by AHAD, both taking place in Fall 2025.
- Share and promote relevant resources with each other’s constituents.
- Hold quarterly meetings to identify areas for collaboration, review progress, and assess ongoing or completed collaborative projects.
- Maintain transparent communication and remain answerable to their respective leadership, ensuring that all joint initiatives align with each organization’s priorities and governance structures.
This partnership reflects a collaborative approach, built on mutual respect and a dedication to advancing health equity. Both organizations reserve the right to end the partnership at any time, with written notice, should priorities or circumstances change.
We look forward to seeing the positive outcomes this partnership will foster and remain committed to supporting the health and well-being of African-American/Black Muslims through shared vision and joint action.
